Dr. Ukpai, Anti-Malaria, AIDS Advocate, Bags Health Board Appointment In Canada

Dr. Olugu Ukpai, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of globally recognised interventionist non-governmental organisation, Challenge AIDS and Malaria in Africa (CHAMA), has been appointed into the Community Health Board (CHB) in Canada.

According to a press statement made available to the media, the appointment takes effect from October 15, 2025.

The appointment is part of his global recognition as Anti-Malaria and AIDS Advocate where he has used CHAMA to fight the menace and other Non-Tropical Diseases (NTDs) across Africa, spanning years.

The Canada-based Nigeria. Dr. Ukpai, is an international motivational speaker, humanitarian, and activist known majorly for founding the organisation CHAMA. 

Motivated by the tragic death of his 16-month-old daughter, Goodness, to malaria, he dedicates his work to preventing malaria and providing medical assistance, building schools, and delivering clean water in various African countries. He has received recognition from the Canadian Senate for his advocacy efforts. 

CHAMA provides medical missions, builds schools and creates opportunities through skill acquisition and agriculture in countries like Uganda, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Nigeria.
He is a passionate malaria activist, using methods like the “Drumming Against Malaria” initiative to raise awareness. 

Like noted earlier, he has been recognized by the Canadian Senate for his significant contributions to malaria advocacy and is a sought-after motivational speaker.
